The Apple Vision Pro is unlike anything else. After two weeks of daily use, I can confidently say that Apple has created the most advanced mixed reality headset ever made—though whether that justifies its astronomical price is another question entirely.

The display technology is jaw-dropping. Dual 4K micro-OLED panels deliver 23 million pixels with a pixel density that makes individual pixels impossible to discern. HDR content looks incredible, and the 90Hz refresh rate keeps motion smooth.

The passthrough quality sets a new standard. Unlike other headsets where the real world looks like a fuzzy video feed, Vision Pro's 12 cameras create a near-transparent view that makes you forget you're wearing a headset. You can read text on your phone, have conversations with people, and navigate your home naturally.

visionOS is intuitive and polished. Eye tracking combined with hand gestures creates an interface that feels genuinely futuristic. Look at something, pinch to select—it becomes second nature within hours.

The spatial computing concept works. Having multiple app windows floating in your space is genuinely useful for productivity. Watching movies in a virtual cinema is magical. 3D photos and videos transport you back to memories in a way nothing else can.

But there are significant drawbacks. The 2-2.5 hour battery life limits extended use. The 600-650g weight causes discomfort after an hour. The $3,499 price (plus $199 for prescription inserts) makes it inaccessible to most people. And the app ecosystem, while growing, remains limited.

Vision Pro is a remarkable achievement in technology. For developers, content creators, and early adopters with deep pockets, it's genuinely exciting. For everyone else, it's a glimpse of a future that's not quite ready for mainstream adoption.
